THE COMPLICATIONS & FEATURES

TWIN FLYING TRIPLE-AXIS TOURBILLONS
The tourbillons fitted in caliber JCFM04 are held only by their lower end, with no upper bridge. This makes them flying tourbillons. Their carriage is shaped like a sphere, rotating along three axes. This triple-axis structure enhances the benefits of the tourbillon. Using two such tourbillons side by side deepens that effect and augments their accuracy.

GRAPHIC ARCHITECTURE
Jacob & Co.'s unique sense of watchmaking requires that form and function come together. In caliber JCFM01, structure, wheels, levers and bridges are elaborate, symmetrical and use Jacob & Co.'s aesthetic language. The smoked sapphire dial reveals the maze of minute repeater components.

CRANK WINDING
Winding caliber JCFM04 and filling up its 72-hour tank can be a lengthy process. To make it more ergonomic and pleasant, the Twin Turbo’s crown is shaped like a crank, engraved with the word “POWER”.

THE DECIMAL MINUTE REPEATER
Using the slide on the left flank, the Twin Turbo tells time with sound. The minute repeater function is one of the most prestigious ones. Jacob & Co. made it doubly special. Caliber JCFM01 is a decimal minute repeater : instead of chiming quarters of hours, it chimes once for every 10-minute segment. To enhance its sound, Jacob & Co. used another rare feature : Cathedral gongs. The metal rods bent around the movement are almost twice as long as traditional ones. They produce a deeper, longer, more intense sound.
