In 2017, Jacob & Co. created a new ladies' collection that looked like no other. Round, without lugs, with a strap directly attached to the case, Brilliant was designed to be versatile, precious and to embrace the entire range of gems Jacob & Co. loves. Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights is a scintillating expression of its high jewelry spirit.
Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights is a tribute to the hypnotizing phenomenon sometimes seen near the polar circle. Northern Lights happen when solar wind collides with our atmosphere, creating immense curtains of light.
Inspired by these dancing shapes, Jacob & Co. has covered a pavé-set version of Brilliant Skeleton with colored mineral crystals, offering a wide palette of shimmering light to the wrist. Or a transparent crystal, to represent the sky as it looks 99% of the year. Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights exists in both wrist watch and pendant watch format.

The rounded case of Brilliant Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights is a three-dimensional creation. Shaped like a pebble, it possesses a great ergonomy and offers the best canvas for the kind of creativity Jacob & Co. is famous for. The rounded edges of the case provide Brilliant with its namesake property : brilliance. When our gem-setters get a hold of it, it becomes a large field of expression of their expertise.
Achieving such an impeccable result requires an extensive development process. It starts at the selection of gems, goes on with their cutting, and ends in the setting itself. At each one of those steps, Jacob & Co.'s expertise is mobilized at its finest. For Jacob & Co., work is at its best when the work doesn't show.

Caliber JCAM01 was specifically developed for Brilliant Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights. It offers maximum transparency thanks to its skeletonized form. All the components that should be full are hollowed out. The structure becomes the shape and a means of aesthetic expression.

THE PAVÉ SETTING
Brilliant Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights showcases Jacob & Co.'s gem-setting skills. Setting gold is a classic technique Jacob & Co. perfectly masters. 323 diamonds, white and round-cut, are set into the precious metal. They cover the case, crown, bezel and buckle in an extensive act of artistic gem-setting.

THE SKELETON MOVEMENT
Caliber JCAM01 uses shapes and finishings to express the femininity in Brilliant Skeleton Northern Lights. Curves, elegant lines, symmetrical design, even the Jacob & Co. logo has become a part of the watchmaking expression. Whether they're revealed by a transparent crystal or shrouded in mystery by a colored one is entirely up to the ultimate wearer.
