THE COMPLICATIONS & FEATURES

THE DOME
The narrative of Astronomia Metaverso is concentrated in an openworked, gem-set piece of high jewelry called the dome. It's positioned between the vertical movement and the curved sapphire crystal. The dome offers an interpretation of the surface of each Astronomia Metaverso's namesake planet, a result of Jacob & Co.'s artistic vision, served by a fine execution of microscopic scale.

THE GEM-MADE PLANET
Every Astronomia features a rotating, 288-facet, Jacob-cut gem, mounted at the end of a satellite. In each Astronomia Metaverso, this gem represents each version's namesake planet. A variety of precious stones take place under the dome, aligning the narrative with an exclusive, large marvel of gem-cutting.

THE FLYING TOURBILLON
At the end of one satellite arm hangs a tourbillon. It's held inside an openworked carriage. It revolves in 60 seconds. With a single attachment point, this is a flying tourbillon.

THE HOUR AND MINUTE DIAL
Emerging from the dome, an off-centered, raised dial provides Astronomia Metaverso's essential information. Hour and minute hands sit on top of a dial made of spinel. The red gem offers its intense red color and translucence.
