Celestial bodies and space exploration have long driven Jacob Arabo's creativity. In 2014, he translated his intimate passion into an ambitious timepiece concept. Astronomia is an unheard-of translation of astrophysics into watchmaking form. Jacob & Co. takes that inspiration to the planetary level with the 8 pieces of the Astronomia Metaverso collection. Each one is a graphic, high watchmaking and high jewelry tribute to the 8 planets in our solar system. A tribute that is both physical and digital since 5 Astronomia Metaverso exist in both worlds and the 3 furthest away from the sun, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, only in digital form in the Metaverse. Which came first ? The digital Astronomia Metaverso NFT ? Or the palpable, 44-mm Astronomia Metaverso ? Like two intricate faces of a single reality, the collection was executed in both realms at the same time, with the same intention : designing a graphic and horological interpretation of all eight planets orbiting the sun as a watch.

From a creative concept to design inspiration. To the first stroke of a pencil through hundreds of iterations. A timepiece like no other comes to life. Astronomia Metaverso interprets each planet in our solar system as a high jewelry, high complication timepiece.

The physical movement of Astronomia Metaverso is a fixed version of the Astronomia Solar movement, since rotation is impossible due to the presence of the dome. Caliber JCAM42 is made of 296 components and incorporates a flying tourbillon, an off-centered hour and minute dial and a rotating gemstone, representing the version's namesake planet. The digital side of Astronomia Metaverso required a similarly exacting sense of precision as a physical design. Creating Astronomia Metaverso NFT required unique digital craftsmanship. It took hundred of hours of work between our digital designers and Jacob Arabo. A qualitative rendering of gemstones, the most exacting details and true-life textures demanded a next-level work of digital engineering.

Vertical movement. Flying tourbillon. Spinning gem-made, 288-facet, Jacob-cut planet. Off-centered dial. 48-hour power reserve. 296 components.

Astronomia Metaverso is where astrophysics meet artistry, where watchmaking blends with imagination. A fixed version of the Astronomia movement takes place under a special piece of craft and narrative, the dome, that's specific to each model in the series.

V

Astronomia Metaverso is dedicated to astronomy lovers, watch lovers, high jewelry lovers and also, to dreamers. It's a tribute to space as a driving force for imagination and Jacob & Co.'s creativity.
