The patented World Time Display of the Epic SF24 Tourbillon comprises a total of 163 components, allowing it to work at a press of a button, on demand, with exceptional feel and reliability. Inspired by traditional split-flap timetable displays once used in airports and train stations, a press of the button on the left hand side of the Split-Flap extension turns it to the next city name - and, along with it, also advances the Arabic hour display by one.

Designed to boldly stand out among traditional two-time zone watches, the Split-Flap display is a spectacular engineering achievement unto its own not simply for its complexity, but for its singular ability to bring a smile of appreciation to even the most tired of world travelers.

The exclusive Caliber JCAA03 automatic movement powers the Epic SF24 Tourbillon, the one-minute flying tourbillon, and time indications. The time on the main dial is set via the crown located at the 4 o'clock position of the case. Once the hours and minutes have been set, the World Time Display is to be adjusted through the dedicated pusher. Once finished, the main dial and the second time zone display work together through a mechanical connection. As the main dial advances to the following hour, so does the split-flap hour display, making for a highly engineered audible and visible feat - not just when it is adjusted, but also once every hour throughout its operation.

Comprising 528 components, including 163 for the Split-Flap display and 68 for the tourbillon, the JCAA03 caliber's 48-hour power reserve is replenished by a self-winding rotor mechanism. Finished with high-end Cotes de Geneve, circular beadwork graining and chamfer decoration techniques, it tastefully combines the values of traditional horology with the achievements only possible in cutting-edge, ultra-modern watchmaking.

The tourbillion was originally invented as a single-axis, rotating cage secured from above and below to counter the effects of gravity on the performance of pocket watches. The Epic SF24 Tourbillon presents this 225-year-old invention in a more spectacular way.

The one-minute flying tourbillon of the Epic SF24 Tourbillon features a delicately decorated cage that encapsulates the balance wheel, hairspring, escape wheel and a number of other crucially important components. This openwork cage not only features an elaborate web-pattern in its architecture but is only secured from underneath, allowing for an unobstructed and full view at the ultimate refinement of its detailing and operation. It is a constellation of superbly finished components that, when assembled and fine-tuned expertly, allows the JCAA03 to keep accurate time throughout its 48-hour power reserve.

The case of Epic SF24 Tourbillon Blue measures 45 millimeters in diameter and 13.65 millimeters thick at its center, and 16.70 millimeters between the top of its World Time Display and the lowest point of its case. Its case is crafted from 18K rose gold, set with 79 baguette-cut white diamonds. The case sides, pusher and crown are inset with honeycomb pattern rubber. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the main dial, and a specially curved sapphire crystal safeguards the Split-Flap display, allowing for unhindered viewing of its operation and the spectacular mechanisms inside. The case-back also features a sapphire crystal pane, with a Jacob & Co metalized decor, proudly stating the name of the Epic SF24 Tourbillon's creator.

The Epic SF24 Tourbillon comes with a blue anthracite opaline dial, with baton hour markers for the main subdial. Above it extends the Split-Flap display for the World Time's city name and its respective hour indication, in high contrast blue and white. A total of 25 baguette diamonds trim the edges of the main subdial and tourbillon. The skeletonized central hands and the hour indices have luminescent coating for increased legibility under all circumstances.
