THE INVISIBLE SETTING

In invisible, all gems are laid out without any visible connection between them and the metal. It requires a unique set of skills that Jacob & Co. has become a specialist of. The baguette-cut gem’s long side is grooved. On the metal end (dial or case), a master jeweler creates vertical anchoring beams, in the shape of a T. The grooves are snapped in place on the T-shaped structure. The gem is set tight, extremely close to its neighbors while absolutely no metal shows.
