In order to recreate the smoothest surface, Jacob & Co. only works with the invisible setting technique. No prongs, no metal appears that would break the continuous array of gems. White diamonds. THE INVISIBLE SETTING

In invisible, all gems are laid out without any visible connection between them and the metal. It requires a unique set of skills that Jacob & Co. has become a specialist of. The baguette-cut gem’s long side is grooved. On the metal end (dial or case), a master jeweler creates vertical anchoring beams, in the shape of a T. The grooves are snapped in place on the T-shaped structure. The gem is set tight, extremely close to its neighbors while absolutely no metal shows.
