The American Watch Guild is an unprecedented way to recognize those quality retailers,
manufacturers and affiliated service companies whose standard of excellence has set
them apart in the fine watch industry. It draws it's inspiration from the tradition of the
medieval guilds. Those associations of artisans and merchant, from goldsmith to
weavers, were formed to preserve professionalism within their crafts and to assure
buyers of quality by displaying the coveted symbol of their guild. The American Watch
Guild has been established in that spirit. It is to be a guild of fine watch professionals
devoted to advancing the prestige of the industry, as well as to maintaining the high
standards of products and service for which they are known in their communities.
Membership in the American Watch Guild carries with it the commitment to the
following criteria:

• Maintenance of a channel for ethical distribution that respects the integrity
  of the watch.
• Promotion and display whose quality reflects that of the fine watches
  offered to sale.
• Trained watch sales associates.
• Authorized service for maintenance and servicing of watches.
